Deepak Puri, Co-founder and CEO, The Democracy Labs reflects on changes in activism and grassroots organizing due to restrictions from COVID-19 and the availability of free and low cost digital tools.  Deepak talks about TextPerCent.org an app being deployed for voter engagement through peer-to-peer texting and BigStage.Online which sits on top of ZOOM to allow for donations during fundraising events.  He also highlights solutions for allowing disabled, elderly and those in rural areas with no cellular or Internet connection to be informed with chatbots accessed through land lines and voice recognition.  His goal is to make it easy for small grassroots organizations as well as candidates and progressive groups to apply technologies coming out of the business sector.
